Finding GPS/Satellite software (free or for sale), that I can modify the code.?

I am looking for GPS satellite imaging code that is either freeware or that I could purchase and have rights to the source code, (Not to Sell!) so that I could modify the source codeing to make it display certain things. Anyone have any leads?

Need info on purchasing a handheld GPS which is applicable for aviation and finding my way out of the woods…

Why is my handheld GPS not finding a signal?

My Magellan 2000 XL GPS is not getting a signal. It just keeps saying searching. Any suggestions? I am trying to download the manual. It hasn’t worked twice now.
