The few I’ve found for sale here in South Korea do not have the ability to select a destination via an overhead map, but require a name or address. Which is perfectly useless if you don’t know the area you’re headed to.

I am going to Uganda and would like a gps that i can use there, I dont know much about them. Would I need to download a good map once I get one? What a good one for Africa ?
I see some real nice ones for sale would like to keep it under 200 new if I can.

I want a handheld GPS but I want it to also be capable of uploading nautical charts. I do not need or want a fish finder feature which is pretty common when looking at martime GPS units. Also, maritime GPS units tend to be the mountable type, I want a handheld similar to what you would hike with. So, handheld, able to use nautical charts.
